Love our little lime

I'm part of an online community called The Nest Baby (http://www.thenestbaby.com/). In addition to many other valuable pieces of pregnancy information I found this really fun article that compares the size of our baby to a fruit each week. It also gives a short run down of all the events that are happening in the womb that week. Currently I am in week 11 so our baby is the size of a lime. However, in my experiences most limes are bigger than 1.6 inches, but oh well I'm just excited that we went from a tiny group of cells to a lime in hardly any time! I told Joel the other night that if this baby is growing this fast inside me then I can only imagine how fast he/she will grow when they are actually here, I'm already a bit sad thinking about it. But until that time comes let's all take a look at our little lime and read about what he/she is up to!

Your fetus currently enjoys a 1:1 ratio between body and head, and has skin so transparent that blood vessels show right through. But, fingers and toes are no longer webbed, and hair follicles, tooth buds and nail beds are forming -- setting up a significantly more attractive future.
