Dear Mother
Did you ever think, dear Mother,
As the seeds of me you sowed,
As you breathed new life inside of me
And slowly watched me grow,
In all your dreams about me
When you planned me out so well,
When you couldn't wait to have me there
Inside your heart to dwell,
Did you ever think that maybe
,I was planning for you, too,
And choosing for my very own
A mother just like you?
A mother who smelled sweet and who
had hands so creamy white,
A tender, loving creature
Who would soothe me in the night?
Did you ever think in all those days
While you were coming due,
That as you planned a life for me
I sought a life with you?
And now as I lay in your arms,
I wonder if you knew
While you were busy making me,
I was choosing you!

This poem should have come with a warning such as "May cause hormone induced crying for pregnant women". I needed about half a box of Kleenex when I first read this. Seriously. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did, maybe minus the Kleenex though :o)

It's called the "Complete Idiots Guide to Fatherhood." Colb liked it and we just got it at Border's in st.joe so i'm sure i'd be easy to find. Good for you for reading so many books. I only religiously read.."Your pregnancy week by week" i loved to see how my body was changing on a weekly basis....I couldn't help but read ahead but was always fun to say...hey! I'm doing that..or that's already happened and then to find out after she was born that she was actually a 38 wk. baby and not 37 like we thought! Musta been the reason for all the early advancements! lol. Let us know if you EVER have any questions...we'll have to get the daddy's together and chat sometime.
